Lar is operated by Lar Opco Ltd, a company registered in Scotland (company number SC886054). When we say "Lar," "we," "us," or "our" in this policy, we mean Lar Opco Ltd.

What data we collect

We collect different data depending on how you interact with us:

When you join the waitlist

We collect your name, email address, property location, portfolio size, and how you heard about us. This data is processed by Formspree (our form provider) and stored in the EU.

When you use Lar

When the product launches, we will collect the data you enter into Lar: property details, tenancy information, mortgage data, compliance records, and financial information. This data is stored on Supabase infrastructure in the EU.

Automatically collected data

We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that does not use cookies and does not track individual users. It collects aggregate page view data only. No personal data is collected automatically.

How we use your data

We use your data to:

• Provide and operate the Lar service
• Send you updates about Lar (waitlist status, launch announcements, product updates)
• Respond to your enquiries
• Improve our service

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Legal basis for processing

Under UK GDPR, we process your data on the following bases:

• Consent when you join our waitlist or subscribe to updates
• Contract when you use Lar under our terms of service
• Legitimate interest for service improvement and security

Data storage and security

Your data is stored in the European Union. We use Supabase for application data and Formspree for form submissions, both of which maintain EU data residency.

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest.

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you request deletion, we will remove your data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Export your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent at any time
• Object to processing based on legitimate interest
• Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe your rights have been violated

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate Lar:

• Supabase (database and authentication, EU hosted)
• Formspree (form submission processing)
• Plausible Analytics (privacy-friendly analytics, no cookies)
• Stripe (payment processing, when applicable)
• Cal.com (appointment scheduling)

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.

Cookies

Lar does not use cookies for analytics or tracking. We may use essential cookies for authentication and session management when you are logged into the application. These are strictly necessary and cannot be opted out of while using the service.

Children

Lar is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on our website. The "last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
