Agreement

These terms govern your use of Lar, operated by Lar Opco Ltd (company number SC886054, registered in Scotland). By using Lar or joining the waitlist, you agree to these terms.

If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

The service

Lar is a portfolio operations platform for property landlords. It provides compliance tracking, mortgage intelligence, portfolio analytics, and related tools. The service is currently in beta and features may change.

Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 18 years old to use Lar.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Subscriptions and billing

Lar is a paid subscription service. Prices are listed on our pricing page and include VAT.

• All plans include a 7-day free trial
• If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your plan auto-renews at the selected billing cycle (monthly or annual)
• Annual subscriptions are billed upfront for the full year
• You can upgrade or downgrade at any time; changes take effect on your next billing cycle
• Refunds for annual plans are available on a pro-rata basis within the first 14 days

Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe's terms of service.

Your data

You own your data. Lar does not claim any intellectual property rights over the information you enter into the service.

You can export your data at any time using the built-in export tools. If you close your account, we will delete your data within 30 days unless required by law to retain it.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Lar for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or our systems
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the service
• Resell or redistribute the service without our written consent
• Upload malicious code or interfere with the operation of the service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Accountant access

Lar allows you to grant scoped, read-only access to accountants and advisers. You are responsible for managing who has access to your account. Accountant seats are provided at no additional cost as described on our pricing page.

Availability and support

We aim to keep Lar available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience outages.

Support is provided by email at hello@uselar.com. Response times depend on your plan (email support, priority support, or premium onboarding).

Limitation of liability

Lar is a tool to help you manage your property portfolio. It is not a substitute for professional legal, financial, or tax advice.

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• Lar is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service
• Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of Lar is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Compliance information

Lar provides compliance tracking tools based on our understanding of Scottish and UK property regulations. While we make reasonable efforts to keep this information accurate and up to date, we do not guarantee that our compliance data is complete, current, or error-free.

You are responsible for verifying compliance requirements with the relevant authorities and seeking professional advice where appropriate.

Intellectual property

Lar, including its design, code, and content, is owned by Lar Opco Ltd. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the service without our written consent.

The Lar name, logo, and brand are trademarks of Lar Opco Ltd.

Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. When you cancel:

• You retain access until the end of your current billing period
• Your data remains available for export for 30 days after cancellation
• After 30 days, your data is permanently deleted

We may also terminate your account if you violate these terms, with reasonable notice where possible.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on our website at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

Continued use of Lar after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Lar will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
